The International People's College is an independent Danish
folkhighschool based on the ideas of N.F.S.Grundtvig and the founder of IPC Dr. Peter
Manniche. The basis of IPC's courses is the belief that cross-cultural learning, living and
studying together on a micro scale is an essential part of creating a better world on a
macro scale. This requires active participation, cross-cultural dialogue, and the ability
to put oneself in the place of others. At IPC students discover new sides of themselves
through cross-cultural interaction and learning. The teaching staff is international and
the language of instruction and living is English. On its long courses between 30-40
nationalities are represented among the students. The curriculum reflects the
international charecter of the school with regional studies taken care of by teachers
coming from the region; international studies; personal development courses such as
communication, conflict resolution and group dynamics; creative subjects such as drama and
music; and language classes.
